After a formal complaint by a parent on the textbook “Social Studies Alive!” the St. Charles School Board in Illinois made the decision to ban it.

“The fact that you don’t like those assertions because they don’t reflect your world view doesn’t make them false. And there’s a vast difference between something being untrue and you not wanting to hear it.”
